Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Data Pipelines
Knowledge Modules are the concept that makes or breaks an ODI developer. They separate what a mapping does from how it is executed, so the same logical design can run against different technologies by swapping the module rather than rewriting the job. Delegates who grasp this early write ODI that scales; those who do not end up embedding procedural logic and lose the platform's main advantage.
The declarative model receives the same emphasis. In ODI a developer specifies the desired end state and the system determines the execution path. Developers arriving from procedural ETL tools consistently fight this at first, so the course addresses it directly rather than assuming it will be absorbed.
Delegates build a working warehouse load through the course: source models, mappings, packages, load plans, error handling and scheduling, executed against real databases with the generated SQL inspected at each stage.

Aimed at developers and engineers building data integration pipelines on Oracle technology.
- ETL developers migrating from Informatica PowerCenter or other conventional tools
- Data engineers building warehouse and lakehouse loads
- Data warehouse teams replacing retired tooling such as DAC
- Oracle DBAs taking on data movement responsibility
- BI developers who need to control their own source loads
- Integration consultants extending into bulk data movement
Assumed knowledge: competent SQL and familiarity with relational database concepts and data warehouse design. Prior ETL experience in any tool is helpful but not required. Java or Groovy experience assists the advanced scripting module but is not a prerequisite.
