Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect
The course is organised around design decisions rather than service tours. Each module opens with a requirement — a workload to host, a network to segment, a recovery objective to meet — and works through the OCI services that satisfy it, including the ones that do not and why.
Delegates work in their own OCI tenancy throughout. Every architecture discussed is built, tested and torn down, so the reasoning behind a choice is grounded in something the delegate has actually deployed.
Terraform is introduced early and used for the majority of provisioning after the first module. Architects who can only click through the console are limited in practice, and infrastructure-as-code is assumed knowledge in most OCI roles.

Certification Exam: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect
-
Who should attend
Aimed at practitioners who will be responsible for designing workloads on OCI, not only running them.
- Cloud and solution architects moving to OCI from AWS, Azure or GCP
- Infrastructure and systems engineers taking on design responsibility
- Oracle DBAs and Apps DBAs whose estates are migrating to OCI
- DevOps engineers automating OCI provisioning
- Technical pre-sales consultants who need defensible architecture knowledge
Assumed knowledge: working familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Linux administration and virtualisation. Prior OCI exposure is helpful but not required. Oracle recommends one to two years of hands-on OCI experience before sitting the exam; this course is designed to compress that requirement through lab work.
Delivery
Duration
40 hours, delivered as weekday evenings or weekend sessions.
Format
Live instructor-led online, with recordings available to delegates for the duration of the programme. On-site corporate delivery available on request.
