Oracle Autonomous Database Administration

The course starts from what Autonomous actually automates and what it does not, because that boundary is the source of most confusion. Delegates learn which conventional DBA tasks disappear, which change shape, and which remain entirely the administrator's responsibility.

Workload type is treated as a first-order decision. Transaction Processing, Data Warehouse, JSON and APEX offerings differ in optimiser behaviour, default parameters and licensing, and choosing wrongly is expensive to unwind after data is loaded.

Delegates provision, scale, clone, back up, restore and migrate their own instances throughout. The exam is scenario-based, and scenario questions are difficult to answer from reading alone.

Duration
40 hours, delivered as weekday evenings or weekend sessions.

Live instructor-led online, with recordings available to delegates for the duration of the programme. On-site corporate delivery available on request.

Lab environment
Each delegate receives a dedicated Autonomous Database instance for the duration of the course and for four weeks afterwards.
