Oracle Analytics Cloud and Analytics Server
The semantic model is the centre of this course. Visualisations are easy to produce and easy to redo; a badly designed logical layer produces wrong numbers that nobody notices for months. Delegates spend proportionally more time in the Semantic Modeler than anywhere else, building physical, logical and presentation layers against a case study warehouse.
Both interfaces are taught. Classic Answers and dashboards remain in heavy use across existing estates, while Data Visualization workbooks are where new development happens. A consultant who knows only one cannot support a real migration, since most organisations run both side by side for a considerable period.
Migration from OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Server runs as a thread through the course rather than sitting in a single module. Delegates work with RPD conversion, catalog migration and the practical differences that surface once content lands in the cloud.

Who should attend
Aimed at practitioners building or migrating analytics platforms on Oracle technology.
- OBIEE developers and administrators facing a replacement decision
- BI developers moving to Oracle Analytics Cloud
- Data analysts and report writers taking on modelling responsibility
- Data warehouse teams building semantic layers
- Fusion Cloud consultants extending into analytics
- Architects scoping an analytics migration
Assumed knowledge: competent SQL and familiarity with relational database concepts. Prior OBIEE or data warehousing experience is helpful but not required. No programming background is needed, though comfort with expressions and formulas assists the modelling modules.
